80% Thinking, 20% Designing

By Bahauddin

The biggest lie about design?

That it’s “easy.”

Everyone wants to jump straight into the design tool, but the real magic happens before you open the tools.

Here's my process:

Thinking → Write → Plan → Iterte → Ask → Ten Design

It's slower, but it works.

Because design isn't just what you make.

It's what people understand first.

That it’s “easy.”

But here’s the truth:

Design is not decoration.
It’s problem-solving.

Behind every good design, there’s:
→ Hours of thinking
→ Multiple iterations
→ Bad drafts before good ones
→ And dozens of decisions no one notices

And no one sees that part.
They only see the final result.

That’s why simple design feels “easy.”

It’s not.

Good design takes time.
Great design takes intention.
